Greetings and Heartiest welcome you all, to Mahatma Gandhi Government Engineering College (MGGEC) Kotla (Jeori), Tehsil Rampur Bushahr, District- Shimla, Himachal Pradesh(India). MGGEC Kotla (Jeori) is the fourth Government Engineering College of Himachal Pradesh state established in the year 2015. The foundation stone of the college was laid down on 15th November 2015 at Kotla (Jeori), Tehsil Rampur Bushahr, District- Shimla (HP). It is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college is offering two B. Tech. Programmes in branches, viz., Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with a sanctioned strength of 60 students in each branch.
At MGGEC Kotla (Jeori), our mission is to deliver quality technical education that enhances the teaching learning process and empowers students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their professions, to Integrate ethical practices and advanced technologies into the learning processes to meet academic, industrial and societal needs, to collaborate with HEIs, Industries and hydroelectric projects to strengthen education and multidisciplinary research and to promote co-curricular and extracurricular activities for holistic development of the students. We strive to create a culture of innovation, creativity, and critical thinking, where students are encouraged to explore new ideas, challenge conventional wisdom and develop solutions to real-world problems.
MGGEC Kotla (Jeori) provides quality technical education to the students enabling them to develop into qualified professionals with high ethical standards and environmentally responsible engineering practices. The institute provides an excellent academic environment augmented by good facilities for the students. It offers opportunities for the students to participate in sports, clubs, academics, cultural activities and extracurricular activities. Besides the regular teaching-learning process; expert talks, webinars, workshops, seminars, short-term training programs, educational/industrial visits and are also organized for the overall development of the students. NSS Unit is operational in the institute which provides a platform for engineering students to work in society and to contribute their skills to the social cause. The NCC Unit is also operational in the institute, offering students an opportunity to develop discipline, leadership and a spirit of service through military and community-oriented activities.
